English governs. These terms are published in English, Spanish and Chinese. The Spanish and Chinese versions are translated with AI assistance; where any of them differs from the English, the English version is the one that applies.
Privacy
We are a small family aviary, not a marketing operation. We collect what we need to arrange your visit and get a bird home to you, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

When you book an appointment. Your name, phone number, email address, how many people are coming, the bird you are asking about if you name one, and anything you write in the notes box. We use it to confirm the appointment, send you the details, and contact you if something changes.
When you join the waiting list. The form is a Google Form, and what you type goes into our Google account. We use it to get in touch when a matching bird comes along.
When you use the contact-message form. This is also a Google Form. The name, contact details, and message you submit go into our Google account so we can reply and follow up on your inquiry.
When you leave a review. Your name, your city, a rating, your comments, and a photo if you choose to add one. Reviews are published on this site, so please only submit what you are happy to have shown publicly.
When you simply read the site. A random identifier is stored in your browser so repeat visits are not counted twice, together with which pages were opened, roughly which country the request came from, whether it was a phone or a desktop, and which links were clicked. There is no name attached to any of it.
We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not use them for advertising. The services below handle data on our behalf because the site is built on them:
A photo attached to a review is published with it. If you send us a photo another way and we would like to use it on the site, we will ask first. Either way you can tell us to take it down afterwards and we will, without needing a reason.
If you would rather not appear in our page statistics at all, open any page once with
?noping=1 on the end of the address and that browser stops being counted for good.
?noping=0 puts it back.
Email kensington.aviary@gmail.com and ask. We will tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no form to fill in.
This site is meant for adults arranging a visit or a purchase. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Families are of course welcome to visit together.
